New Bell Work

We are going to do a Fluency Write made up from Friday.  On Tuesday you will have your Informational Write that will be graded.

Review Investigation 2.1 and complete ACE Questions.

Bell Work:  Define Rotational Symmetry

Then we are going to review yesterdays Investigation 1.  We will then look at Investigation 1.2.  The following video will review Reflection as well as introduce Rotation.

Wednesday, February 15th

Today we are going to be starting a new unit.  For your bell work you need to look up and define the word Reflection Symmetry and write it down.  After that is done you need to take a sheet of paper and fold it in half the hamburger way.  You are going to be drawing half a heart on one side of the paper and then cutting it out.  This is an example of Reflection Symmetry.  The line down the middle of the shape is the reflection line.  You are going to write the vocabulary word on the heart and also define it.

Next we are going to watch a short video clip on Reflection Symmetry.

After the video you and the person who sits at your table are going to recieve a packet for the new math unit.  You are going to be sharing the math untit packet for now.  For today you are responsible for Investigation 1.1.  You are going to be using a set of mirrors to help you find the Reflection line and then draw them on several shapes.  Both partners should take turns doing this. 

You are also responsible for ACE Pg. 15 #1-9
