Tuesday, September 20th

Today is a two hour  block day due to testing in the building!

First do bell work and then we will go over.

Then we are going to discuss box and whiskers plot.  Students are going to be doing an activity today that will consist of finding out your own height in centimeters.  Then we are going to line up in the front of the class from shortest to tallest.  Height in centimeters for each student will be recorded on a note card..  We will use yarn to mark the median, lower and upper quartiles.

From there we will find the median, lower and upper quartiles of the data.

After the group activity students will need to go back to their seats and write out the information on their own sheet of paper this will be turned in to check for understanding of the activity.

Students will also answer additional questions and check for understanding of median, lower and upper quartiles.
