Warm-UP
We are again practicing finding the square root of a variety of numbers.
I will be looking over your 3.4 Lesson from yesterday's class period. After that you are going to work on the ACE questions in your packet. Then you are responsible for the Mathematical Reflections questions from 3.4. Your packets are due today!!!! Once your packets have been turned in we will be going over the material as a class. Remember the TEST DATE IS_________ TUESDAY, DECEMBER 6th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome to the Math Blog!!! The purpose of this blog is to keep you up to date on assignments, upcoming quizzes and tests.

Tuesday, November 29th
Warm-Up: Today look at how you find the hypotenuse and solve the missing side of each right triangle.
There is a homework check on 3.3 and ACE Question #24.
Then we are going to watch a short video on the Pythagorean Theorem.
During the video write down on the back of 3.3 in your packet what point was being made.

After that you are going to work for 10 minutes with a partner. Each partner group is going to recieve some different sized paper. Your group will also have a ruler to measure the side lengths. You need to determine what you learn from the experiment. Also write down your experiment findings on the back of the packet for 3.3.
We will come back together as a group to discuss what you discovered. Then each person will need to work in their packet on 3.4 (Lengths that form a Right Triangle)

Bell Work:
What is a perfect square? How do you find the square root of a number? Define completely. Write out an example to prove you understand. Bell Work Needs to be turned in when done.
Then you are going to be assigned a group and your group is going to be drawing a topic. Your group project will cover a concept covered in Investigation 1 to Investigation 2. You will have most of the hour to work with your group on the project. Your group is going to be putting their work and responses on a poster board. On Monday your group will be teaching their topic to the rest of the class. It is important to not waste time today as soon as you have your topic. Your group will need to brainstorm and write out the process before transferring the work to the poster board.
Good Luck.
